16 Bloggers Head to Austria for Some Summer Fun
ANTO invites the elite of travel bloggers to meet in the Kitzbüheler Alps #inAustria to discover and share their experiences with the world.
Austria, July 6, 2015 — Out of 350 travel bloggers, 16 of them (from 16 different countries) were chosen to experience the summer wonders of the Kitzbuheler Alps in Austria’s Tirol region for four days. Depending on their own personal interests, the lucky 16 were able to choose from a variety of outdoor activities.
ANTO, together with the Tirol Tourist Board and the Kitzbüheler Alpen Tourist Board, invited this elite group to not only have some fun, but also to create authentic content with the photos and video footage to match. The aim of this trip was to create a real social media buzz, using original content and media, to help bring an experience in the Austrian Alps closer to home.
For the sports enthusiast, bloggers were able to go mountain biking and canyoning, and for those who wanted to experience the region at a slower pace, they were able to choose an e-biking or a via ferrata tour (a mountain route equipped with fixed ladders, cables, and bridges in order to be accessible to climbers and walkers). And of course, those who just wanted to relax were able to visit a Husky Dog farm and take a tour of St. Johann in Tirol.
A British blogger chose to go canyoning, and here’s what she said of the experience from her blog: “you can take on anything in Austria, you think, as you are dipped, deliberately, into the heavy waterfall, your body resting against the wall as you catch your breath before you enter the fresh waters again, and slowly come to a rest at the bottom of the ravine in a fit of glorious ‘I survived’ giggles.”
With all of the excitement surrounding the wonderful assortment of activities, the most exciting part for some was to meet up with their fellow travel bloggers. Veronika, another blogger chosen to embark on this mini-adventure, said in her blog post about the trip, “It’s somehow difficult to meet more travel bloggers at one place – everybody is usually travelling different parts of the world. We know about each other mainly from the internet [and] from the professional travel blogging groups. But there are few occasions where we get to meet in reality (the travel blogging conference only takes place twice a year!). So, I am pretty happy I am about to get to know [a] bunch of international bloggers who are into outdoors!”
The trip was a success. The bloggers enjoyed the sights, sounds, and adventures hidden within the Austrian Alps, while also having the opportunity to meet new people taking part in the same adventure for the same purpose. To see what they did, take a look at the video below. Hopefully this will inspire viewers to experience the fun and breathtaking views #inAustria in the near future.
